How much will it cost to repair my lamp?

As one can imagine, there are literally thousands of lamps of different sizes, shapes, etc.  The way that some are assembled are much more complex than some others.  We can usually give a ballpark estimate if a picture is provided.

How long will it take?

The average for walk-in customers is a few days.  If specialty parts are needed to be ordered, then it may increase to a week or more.  It will be about the same amount of time for customers that ship their lamps, in addition to the shipping time.

How much does it cost to ship?

A quick check online, or a trip to your local shipping facility - UPS, USPS, FedEx, or others, will be able to narrow that down.

Will you come get my lamp?

Yes, we provide a pick up and drop off service.  We will come retrieve your lamp, repair it at the shop, and deliver it when we're finished.

Do you do in-home lamp repairs?

Yes, if it's a minor repair, we will repair in your home, otherwise we will disconnect and repair at the shop, and then reconnect in your home.

Will you disconnect my ceiling fixture and install a new one?

Yes, we provide disconnect, reconnect, and installation services for lamps and fixtures purchased from us, or from a third party.

How far will you travel for a repair or pick-up and drop-off?

We will travel whatever reasonable distance is necessary, as long as it is cost effective and fair for us and the customer.  When it is not cost effective, I will suggest shipping the fixture.  In cases where it is a fragile lamp, shipping seems risky, or the fixture is too sentimentally valuable to leave the home, the customer would have to be willing to pay the additional travel fees.

My lamp has a fragile shade and I need it repaired, do you need the shade with the lamp?

No, not unless the shade serves the function of the lamp.

Where are you located?

We are located on Route 66 in Westhampton, MA - about a half mile from the Northampton, MA border.

Do you sell lamps and fixtures in addition to repairing them?

Yes, we have several floor lamps, table lamps, hanging lamps, and sconces for sale, from several eras and designs.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, cash, or check.

Do you repair all types of lamps and fixtures?

Yes, anything that comes through the door that a customer wants repaired.

What are Twilight Lamp Repair's shop hours?

We try to accommodate any time that is convenient for our customers, including weekends.  Our schedule is flexible.  We not only work in the shop repairing lamps, but we go to customers' homes to retrieve, install, disconnect and reconnect fixtures.  The best way to ensure the shop is open is to simply call or email with a day and time that works for you before you stop in.  

Do you buy lamps and fixtures too?

Yes, we will buy lamps from our customers if the price is right.  We are also open to trades for the fixtures we have in the shop.
